Is Nectar a Good Mattress for Back, Stomach or Side Sleepers?
Nectar’s premium materials and perfectly executed design has won it favor with side sleepers, stomach sleepers and back sleepers alike. That’s because its layers of memory foam layers offer a unique balance of softness, firmness and support that is conducive to every sleep position.
Nectar even won the Tuck 2020 award for “Best Mattress for Side Sleepers,” “Best Mattress for Stomach Sleepers,” and “Best Mattress for Back Sleepers.”
This mattress is also a great choice for those who tend to run hot, as its innovative heat-wicking and cooling technology helps maximize airflow and breathability, keeping sleepers in a temperature range most conducive to sleep.
Those who suffer from back pain are also likely to love the Nectar mattress: The company conducted its own randomized survey of product owners, and found that nine out of 10 back pain sufferers reported that their Nectar mattress helped some or a lot. Ninety percent of respondents also said their Nectar mattress helped reduce overall aches, stiffness, soreness and/or discomfort. That’s thanks, at least in part, to the adaptive memory foam mattress layers, which are designed to relieve pressure on the shoulders, hips and legs—providing proper spinal alignment for any body type.
How It Works & Where to Buy Nectar Mattress
Nectar makes ordering and setting up their mattress so easy, you can do it in your sleep. Here’s a look at how it works:
Ordering a Nectar Mattress
Simply place an order online or give them a call. Their customer sleep specialists are available seven days a week via phone or chat, and can help you navigate the ordering process.
Mattress Delivery
Once you’ve placed your order, Nectar will ship your mattress via FedEx or UPS Ground, and you can expect to receive it within two to five business days from the ship date.
Mattress Setup
If you opted for their White Glove Service option, which includes full setup of your mattress, an agent will contact you within two to three business days from your order date to schedule your delivery.
Like most mattresses purchased online, your Nectar will arrive in a large and possibly quite heavy box—Nectar mattresses range from 60 pounds for a twin to 125 pounds for a Split King, so you may need some help setting it up. When you’re ready, you’ll simply move the box into the desired room, slide the mattress out of the box, unroll it onto the base, and then give it some time to expand.
How Long Does Nectar Mattress Take to Expand?
You’ll want to give your Nectar mattress at least 24 hours to expand. While you won’t do any harm if you lay on it sooner, a Nectar mattress can take 24-72 hours to fully expand, and the best way to tell if it is fully expanded is to measure it. That’s right: Nectar encourages buyers to break out their tape measures to determine if the mattress has reached its full comfort potential. Once it hits 11 inches in depth, it has reached its full size.
Other Purchasing Options
If you’d prefer to purchase your Nectar mattress from an actual storefront, that’s an option too: Nectar is now available in more than 2,000 retail stores throughout 49 states, including Mattress Firm and Mattress Depot. Can also be purchased through Amazon.com.
Nectar Mattress Materials & Design
The Nectar mattress is constructed of five layers of premium materials and CertiPUR-US® certified foams, which come together to provide optimal support, pressure point relief and temperature regulation.
The Top Layer:
The top layer of the Nectar mattress is a soft and breathable single-action cooling cover with antimicrobial treatment that features moisture-wicking fabrics dispels heat and fights bacteria for a fresh and comfortable sleep.
The Middle Layers:
Beneath the breathable cover are three layers of foam.
The Bottom Layer:
At the very bottom of the Nectar mattress, there’s a Shift-Resistant Lower Cover, designed to prevent slippage, no matter how much movement your mattress endures.
How Much is Nectar mattress?
Despite their high quality materials and innovative design, Nectar mattresses are among the least expensive on the market—even compared to other “Bed-in-a-Box” options.
By streamlining the distribution process and skipping costly extras that have very little impact, Nectar has managed to drive down production costs and keep their price point low. So, you can rest easy knowing you’re getting all the features you need to get your best night of sleep—without losing sleep over the cost.
And for those who prefer to spread their payments out, Nectar offers user-friendly financing plans through Affirm and Splitit.
We recommend ordering a Nectar mattress during one of their many promotions since you’re likely to receive accessories like a cooling pillow, sheet set and mattress protector, which would normally cost anywhere from $299 to $399—completely free.
