Is Level Sleep a Good Mattress for Back, Stomach or Side Sleepers?
Level Sleep is so committed to delivering an exceptional sleep experience that they’ve invested in patented technology as well as research studies on their mattresses. The results of these studies say it all: Trial participants fell asleep faster, slept better and experienced improved daytime function and a reduction in morning stiffness. This bodes well for those who have a hard time falling asleep or find themselves feeling groggy or stiff in the mornings.
The Level Sleep mattress is designed with three firmness zones—soft, medium and firm—to support the head and neck, torso and hips and legs differently. However, the overall firmness of the bed is a five out of 10, with a 10 being the most firm a mattress can be, making this a good fit for anyone who prefers a medium firm feel.
The ergonomic three-zone support of the Level Sleep mattress is a solid choice for side sleepers of any weight. It cradles and supports the pressure points around the torso, while being softer at the top to allow the shoulders to sink in and the spine to align naturally.
Back and stomach sleepers who weigh less than 130 pounds may also find that the Level Sleep mattress is a good fit, though those over 130 pounds may prefer a mattress that falls in the medium-firm to firm category.
Still unsure which model is best for you? Here’s a general guide:
Firmness | Ideal For |
---|---|
Plush Soft | Side sleepers and those under 130 lbs. |
Luxury Firm | Side sleepers, back sleepers, stomach sleepers, couples, and those between 130 to 230 lbs. |
Firm | Back or stomach sleepers and those over 230 lbs. |

Where Is Level Sleep Mattresses Made?
Level Sleep mattresses are manufactured in and shipped from California.
Level Sleep Mattress Materials & Design
Level Sleep is an all-foam, 11-inch mattress with three foam layers and a patented TriSupport® design that provides three distinct zones of support for pressure relief and spinal alignment.
The Level Sleep mattress is made with premium materials and certified with CertiPUR-US®, which means it’s free of harmful chemicals for a safer night’s sleep.
The Top Layer:
The cover is made from a polyester-rayon fabric blend that’s removable, washable and designed to be stretchy and move with the mattress.
The Middle Layers:
In the middle are two layers of specialized polyfoam. First, a one-inch comfort layer of Enduroplush® HR foam, a polyfoam that’s engineered to cradle the body and provide pressure relief.
Next is a three-inch zoned performance layer of Energex® adaptive polyfoam, which contours like memory foam, but with more responsiveness and bounce.
This layer features Level Sleep’s patented TriSupport® design, engineered to both reduce pressure and align the body to improve sleep and daytime performance. It’s soft in the head and shoulder zone to help the shoulders sink in, firm in the torso zone to support the back, and medium in the hip and leg zone. The three zones are designed to work together to keep your body in a neutral position throughout the night.
The Bottom Layer:
The base of the Level Sleep mattress is constructed of seven inches of high-resilience, extra-firm foam. This support core is extra firm to support the surface of the bed.
